The IBBI organises a Conference on “Evolving Dynamics of the Insolvency Regime in India, 2022”


As part of the ongoing ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebrations, the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI), in association with the Rajiv Gandhi National The University of Law, Patiala (RGNUL), organised a virtual conference, on the Evolving Dynamics of the Insolvency Regime, 2022, on Sunday, 30th January 2022.


Mr. Sudhaker Shukla, Whole-Time Member, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India delivered the inaugural address. He highlighted the journey of the Code so far and dwelt upon the recent dynamics related to frontier areas covering the evolving position of personal guarantors to corporate debtors under the IBC regime, areas of improvement in the IBC vis-à-vis stressed assets resolution, cross border insolvency, Alternative Dispute Resolution for insolvency resolution process and Pre-Packaged Insolvency Resolution Process for MSMEs.


The inaugural session was followed by a presentation by the author of the winning entry of the RFMLR-IBBI Blog series competition, 2021. The Conference also included a panel discussion by eminent panellists including Mr. Ritesh Kavdia, Executive Director, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India; Mr. Nilang T. Desai, Senior Partner, AZB & Partners; Mr. Pulkit Gupta, Insolvency Professional and Partner, E&Y; Mr. Saurav Panda, Partner, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co; and Mr. Dhrupad Vaghani, Associate Partner, Economic Laws Practice. The panel discussion was moderated by Mr. Harshit Khare, Advocate.
