International Conference on Insolvency Law & CISG@40


In this globalized world, in the case of the financial distress, the life cycle of the company may attract issues pertaining to cross-border insolvency that affects corporate groups, their creditors and stakeholders spanning across different countries. In this context, the UNCITRAL Model Law on Cross-Border Insolvency has served as a guiding instrument for countries to enact their domestic laws without compromising with the legal postulates prevailing in their regime but including scope for cooperation and coordination with other jurisdictions.


The Conference aims to organize two Virtual Round Tables on two broad themes:

1. CISG@40: United Nations Convention on Contracts for International Sale of Goods

2. Cross Border Insolvency, where academicians, judges, professionals and experts across the world will disseminate their views and ideas


The Conference invites proposals for presentations from interested students, academicians, practitioners, professionals and experts on the below mentioned themes:
