A Webinar on "Recent Developments in Regulatory Framework with respect to IPs under the Code"

The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) in association with the Indian Institute of Insolvency Professionals of ICAI (IIIPI) organise a Webinar on Recent Developments in Regulatory Framework with respect to Insolvency Professionals under the Code on Thursday, 29th September 2022 from 16.00 hrs to 17.30 hrs.

Since its enactment in 2016, the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 (IBC) has undergone six legislative interventions. In addition, the rules and regulations have also been amended from time to time based on market feedback and emerging requirements & dynamics in implementing the IBC. In recent times, the IBC regulatory framework has witnessed several material reforms for effective implementation of the Code. A large number of issues have been attempted to be addressed by these reforms. Some of the issues include promoting timely admission of new cases, improving realisations, fees of IPs, balancing stakeholders’ rights in the liquidation process, strengthening the role of IUs, recent complaints and grievance handling framework, etc.

The Webinar aims to discuss the intent as well as contents of these developments with Insolvency Professionals. The Webinar includes a 30 minutes Q & A session for addressing queries of the participants and eliciting further feedback/suggestions.
